In reading Luke 5 today - here is what hit me. When Jesus performed the miracle - the gathering of fish so abundant that the fishermen's net broke. The even was clearly overwhelming to those around him. After all, they had fished all night with nothing to show for it. Some days, I can relate to this - working so hard to yield little to no results. Then, when God glances my way with a miracle that is so effortless for Him, I'm humbled at the ease that it is given. Although thankful, my first thought is that I am not worthy. Just like the first disciples, then fishermen, who said, "Go away from me, Lord. I am a sinful man." Yet, Jesus loved and chose them anyway - just like me ... just like you. If you're working so hard that you're at a loss today, know He sees you, He loves you, and He has you.

When I started this blog it was because I had a 'Corporate America' j-o-b and was a new mom, who was burning the candle at both ends. I felt like I was completely worn thin and out. I was working my tail off for someone else only to come home too worn thin to have quality time or energy to invest in my family. After a long battle of mentally weighing my options - budget vs. investing time with my child - I decided to work from home. When my child was three, I took a work from home position and gambled by stepping into a full commission position. It was a large leap of faith, but worth every stressful second knowing I had more time at home. After three successful years in this position, it went to an 'office only' position, so again I decided to leave. As always God had my back every second of the way as I just so happened to be fully vested at the exact time I had to leave the company, which meant I would still receive a small paycheck from the company for the...

Each day I'm blessed to work for my company. Not only do I work for a great group of people, but I get the opportunity to work with my sister. She is one of a kind. Not only is she my best friend, but she's my servicing manager. If it weren't for her I wouldn't have made this far in my career. She's my backbone and an awesome trainer!

I got back home today and am worn out and excited at the same time! 3 full days of meetings, awards banquets, and meals with over 2,000 people from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. has left me wanting a long nap! Both hotels, our group was booked at, had a breeze-way to the Louisville, KY convention center. It was about 4 to 5 blocks for me to get to any event from sun up to sun down. So even though I ate and ate...I could walk it off! I think I still gained about 5 pounds though. I'm not used to eating that much. I swear ever since I turned 34 last year, I've had some minor trouble keeping 5 pounds off my ideal weight. Still...I'm really blessed with that issue. The last two nights had a fancy dinner at the main convention hall. The first night was for the sales force and the second for the service. I find it funny how different people in each department are. The sales people the first night were so pumped to be recognized that most ran down to the front to get to the stage as so...
