It's interesting to see a story evolve and characters grow, as one writes a book.  In writing my third book, Coming Home, I have grown leaps and bounds as an author.  I've been stretched and refined, which I think will result in wonderful things for this book. Initially, my intent was to weave a great storyline around Anne La Sal, a character from my first two books, Finding Kylie & Facing Redemption.  In both books, she is the ever-supportive best friend who is developed more in Facing Redemption to garner the character to withstand her own story. Coming Home was originally going to be a dual storyline about Anne and her estranged sister Grace, however, I started to fall in love with Grace's character so much that I decided to give her own story with Saving Grace. Yesterday my family spent the day at my grandmother's in a remote small town. In fact, one wise family member, who is under the age of ten, mentioned that the town looked exactly like Radiator Springs! We all got a laugh out of that one. My grandmother still lives in her home, that's crumbling apart it's so old, and is going strong. As a family, we decided to have Thanksgiving at her house this year. It may be the last time we're able to at the age my grandmother is. As kids, we loved to play there. She's got a big goldfish pond in her back yard, which my sister fell in as a kid. Those goldfish are so big and so old...it makes me wonder if they've been around longer than me. My grandmother also had a secret passageway in her home. Well, it's more like to connecting closets that run the center of her home. So this little hallway that led from the guest room to the master bedroom became our secret passageway...a charming little secret we always...

Each day I'm blessed to work for my company. Not only do I work for a great group of people, but I get the opportunity to work with my sister. She is one of a kind. Not only is she my best friend, but she's my servicing manager. If it weren't for her I wouldn't have made this far in my career. She's my backbone and an awesome trainer!

Today is my seven-year wedding anniversary. Seven years ago today there were storms throughout Oklahoma City that caused mayhem on my husband's and my special day. To this day my wedding planner, who everyone said reminded them of Franc, from 'Father of the Bride', introduces me like such, "Oh! This is the girl I told you about! She's my wedding from hell! My Murphy's Law wedding...if anything were to go wrong at any wedding-it all happened at hers!" I can promise you that is no exaggeration! Let me give you a quick bullet list. Prior to the storms causing havoc....a a few things leading up to it went a little haywire. Leading up to the wedding: **My matron of honor got pregnant and ballooned up just large enough that she couldn't fit into her bridesmaid's dress. She was under 5 feet tall and a size two.
