The Seattle Post did a review on FACING REDEMTPION!

Imagine my surprise when I had a message in my inbox yesterday with a link to the Seattle Post. They gave a great review of FACING REDEMPTION, which completely blew me away. I am so humbled that someone thought enough of my book to make sure it was highlighted for all of Seattle to read. So thank you Seattle and Seattle readers. Go read the review !

a few reviews

So a few people have sent me some more than kind words on their thoughts about ' Facing Redemption' . They've emailed, texted, and even left one on Amazon. I encourage anyone, who has read it, to leave one on Amazon, like this nice reader did .  In case you don't want to click the link - here's her posting word for word: I highly recommend this book! It made me laugh and cry. Even though it is fiction (which I don't usually read), the characters felt very real life to me. It's available as a Kindle download or regular book. It took me only 2 days to read it. I didn't want to put it down! I will need to order the prequel to this book now - Finding Kylie. For a couple more go to my author website here: http://www.kimberlymckayauthor.com/  I can't wait to hear what you say. :) And I'll have some blogger pals chiming in soon... stay tuned.

The launch was an amazing experience. Pardon me for not blogging sooner. I think I'm still recovering. It was a non-stop stream of people coming through the door from 5:30 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m.  At one point the line was out the door. I just couldn't believe that people were driving in from Texas, St. Louis and where ever else... I want to send a big thank you to all of you, who drove in from near and far to support. I am so blessed by each one of you. I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did. I loved hearing how much you loved the story lines and characters. I loved how much you were invested in me and my characters. I also needed to post the above picture. How many launch parties have the cover model on hand? Mine did! He was there to take pics with the ladies and was very kind to stay the whole time. I'm surrounded by amazing support from the readers to those, who played their part to make this book happen (including the cover model). I...

OKC Channel 4 Interview with Kimberly McKay

Image
Source: kfor.com via Kimberly on Pinterest This morning I got up at 4:20 a.m. and dragged my hiney out of bed to get ready for my 6 a.m. interview with Miss Ali , a very talented news anchor for KFOR News. You can reach the interview by clicking the picture above, which will take you to my Pinterest ... which then links to the newscast. Or you can just click here . I'm thankful that this time I didn't talk with my hands.  LOL.

3 days and counting till the launch

So today, I went to get my hair done.  Tomorrow, it will be time for a Pedi. I already have my outfit picked out and ready to go for the book launch on Saturday. The major details have been finalized.  Posters have been printed.  Door prizes are in-house, ready to wrap up for the drawing we'll have on-site. Balloons are scheduled to be picked up. Friday, I'll be interviewed on the number one top slated news show in Oklahoma City bright and early at 6 a.m. Now, I just have to think of all the little things I may have missed and take some time to de-stress.  It is strictly time to look forward to seeing everyone. What blows me away is that I'm getting messages from readers, who are fans, that are driving from multiple states away for the launch for Facing Redemption. What a humbling and mind-blowing experience this is going to be.  I'll post pictures to my FB page, so if you've not gone and liked it yet ... please do so.   Have a ...

What would NOAH tweet about?

So news of Darren Aronofsky's NOAH is popping up all over the web.  From this story on USA Today to hundreds of twitter feeds and Facebook posts. Not only is the excitement is building from the different outlets and word of mouth, but also through Aronofsky's tweets from his direct feed. You can go follow him here for a play by play on the movie's progress. Russell Crowe is even engaging in tweeting about his experience along the way. It made me start thinking, "What would NOAH tweet if he could?" Day 1 - lots of rain... people are laughing at my ark. They think I'm an #epicfail Day 10 - Water has overcome our city. People are not laughing anymore. They're begging to get in. #thisishard Day 20 - I don't see a living soul...very sad. Surrounded by water.  #confusedbutstayingfaithful Day 30 - I really want off this big boat. My family is grumbling, but I'm trusting God. #theanimalssmell Day 40 - I see a rainbow. We've found land....

Facing Redemption Update

Image
So the cover for Facing Redemption is done. The final review is in (all glowing reviews), and I'm ready to roll.  Above is a teaser of what the cover is going to look like.  The model, who posed for the cover, is very easy on the eyes and will be at the launch party for photo ops with anyone interested. We're going to have live music, free appetizers, pics taken with author and cover model, and door prizes.  It will be a fun night. So far we've got a solid turnout but could always use more.  If you're in OKC on September 15th, come by Sauced, the best pizza place in the Paseo district.  While you're there, order a pizza and stay for a while.  You'll have a good time!
